UTA offers numerous tennis programs for junior players at Briarlake Baptist Church. UTA runs programs for all ages and abilities following the USTA QuickStart format – red, orange, green, and regular balls. At Briarlake, the UTA tennis programs start at the age of 4 and continue into a player’s high school years. Whether a child’s dream is to join an ALTA team, high school team, collegiate team or turn professional, the UTA Briarlake program will help children achieve their dreams. Our professional coaching staff at Brarlake offers an after school program throughout the year for beginner, intermediate, advanced players. UTA Briarlake also offers summer camps where the children play tennis and engage in various fun outdoor activities.

RED/ORANGE GROUPThis Group is for players 5-8 years old and designed to teach young players the basic skills of tennis. We will use a 36' court when using Red dot balls. ORANGE/GREEN/COMPETITIVE GROUPThis group is for players age 8-10 who are at an intermediate level AND players age 11-16 who are just starting tennis. Make-Up Policy
If drills are canceled due to inclement weather, students may attend their regular drill group on a day that they don't normally attend within that month. To receive rained out information, click here and follow the process.
Program Withdrawal
We require a 30-day written notice for withdrawal from the program. In the absence of a 30-day notice, a monthly drill charge will be assessed.
UTA has adopted the Quick Start Program as a tool to teach young players proper tennis fundamentals. The program allows players to play the game of tennis at an earlier stage of development through a systematic progression of scaled rackets, modified balls, and court sizes.
