USTA Georgia April Player Development Camp

USTA Georgia
UTA Coaches  Cem GurkaynakArchie Nikitin and Marianna Taylor enjoyed coaching some of Georgia’s top 14u players during last weekend’s USTA Georgia Player Development Team Event at James Creek Tennis Center.

USTA Georgia, with the help of area coaches, identify and work with promising area players. These camps are a great way for our young athletes to get access to great coaching and exposure while competing in a fun environment.

The USTA GA High Performance 14U Campers were divided into 4 teams of 4 players (2 boys, 2 girls) each of equivalent skill. Each team had the benefit of a highly trained coach on its bench. They played team matches with both doubles (BD, GD) and singles matches. Doubles used a 6 game no-ad, pro-set format and singles used a 2 no-ad sets with a 10 point match tiebreak format.

The goal of this camp was to provide highly competitive matches in a stress free environment. Match results did not affect the players’ UTR or GA Standing.

A USTA GA High Performance 12U Camp was going on simultaneously at Peachtree Tennis Center.
